Ganty Salers offers a wide selection of both horned (heterozygous) and polled homozygous) Salers cattle, with cows, bulls, heifers, and maiden heifers all available. We also offer pedigree Salers cattle and non-pedigree Salers cattle.

Horned Salers (Heterozygous)
Ganty Salers offers a selection of horned Salers cows, bulls, heifers, and maiden heifers for sale across Ireland and internationally. Horned or Heterozygous, Salers are characterised by their large horns, making
them a striking breed to look at, however, this breed is also known for being quite relaxed and easy to manage. Salers cattle are larger than most cows, meaning they produce more milk and meat than most other breeds. As well as this, their large stature means that they can calve unassisted, making for safer and more efficient breeding.
Polled Salers (Homozygous)
Alongside our range of classic Horned Salers, Ganty Salers breeds many Polled, or Homozygous, Salers for sale to farmers in Ireland and abroad. While polled Salers have all the same physical characteristics of horned Salers, the lack of horns means that this type of cow can be safer to handle than one with horns. As well as this, unpolled cattle are less likely to cause injury to either human or animal while using equipment such as a cattle crush. Ganty Salers breeds a range of Polled Salers for sale including cows, bulls, heifers, and maiden heifers to suit all types of agricultural businesses. Like our horned animals, we have unpolled pedigree Salers and non-pedigree Salers available.
